North Carolina A&T and Bowie State, both undefeated and largely unchallenged so far this season, lead this week's ADD'S HBCU SPORTS REPORT FCS/Division II Top Ten football polls.
With Tennessee State's first loss of the season at nationally-ranked Tennessee-Martin, the Tigers (3-1) fall to third in the FCS poll while North Carolina A&T (3-0) continue to roll along after thrashing Morgan State Saturday. Besides FBS Charlotte, the Aggies have averaged winning margins of 43 points so far this season.
Second-ranked North Carolina Central (2-1, 1-0 MEAC) got a good win against a good South Carolina State team, while Grambling's defense spurred them to an easy win over Mississippi Valley State Saturday.
In Division II, Bowie State (4-0, 1-0 CIAA) continues to dominate, with its high-flying offense featuring quarterback Amir Hall and running back Robert Chesson. Virginia State (3-0, 1-0 CIAA) has been buoyed by a running game led by Trenton Cannon and his 147 yards per game rushing average.
