North Carolina A&T and Bowie State, both undefeated and largely unchallenged so far this season, lead this week's ADD'S HBCU SPORTS REPORT FCS/Division II Top Ten football polls.
With Tennessee State's first loss of the season at nationally-ranked Tennessee-Martin, the Tigers (3-1) fall to third in the FCS poll while North Carolina A&T (3-0) continue to roll along after thrashing Morgan State Saturday. Besides FBS Charlotte, the Aggies have averaged winning margins of 43 points so far this season.
Second-ranked North Carolina Central (2-1, 1-0 MEAC) got a good win against a good South Carolina State team, while Grambling's defense spurred them to an easy win over Mississippi Valley State Saturday.
In Division II, Bowie State (4-0, 1-0 CIAA) continues to dominate, with its high-flying offense featuring quarterback Amir Hall and running back Robert Chesson. Virginia State (3-0, 1-0 CIAA) has been buoyed by a running game led by Trenton Cannon and his 147 yards per game rushing average.

SOUTHERN INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Findlay 61, Tuskegee 0 - Michael Campbell ran three first half touchdowns while Rhys Gervais threw two himself as Findlay dominated Tuskegee and cruised to a big win. In the first meeting between the two schools, Findlay (3-1) rolled up 561 yards of offense, with Gervais throwing for 261 yards, and Daouda Sylia rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns to lead them. Tuskegee only had six first downs all day with just 40 yards rushing and 129 yards passing. The bright spot for Tuskegee was linebacker Osband Thompson who had another big day, with 15 tackles, 13 solo.

Fort Valley State 31, Benedict 28
Clark Atlanta 31, Lane 7 - Clark Atlanta forced five turnovers while the SIAC's leader in total offense, Johnathon McCrary, threw two touchdown passes as CAU (3-1, 1-1) defeated Lane (1-3, 0-1). McCrary threw touchdown passes to Rodney Morris while the CAU running game had 194 yards on the day. Harding Harper had 12 tackles for CAU and Jaquatin Victrum had ten tackles and an interception. Lane was led by Marcus Holliday who rushed for 94 yards.
Kentucky State 34, Central State 22
Miles 27, Morehouse 24 - Miles (2-2, 1-0) held off a late Morehouse (2-2, 0-1) comeback, forcing a fumble and converting that into a field goal that proved to be the game-winner. Miles had been up 14 midway through the third quarter, but Kivon Taylor's touchdown pass to Ryan Edwards left down just seven points down with 11:52 remaining. But Taylor was hit on a sack and then fumbled. Miles took over, turning that into a Nick Christiansen field goal with 6:59 remaining. Morehouse got a Michael Sims-to-Frank Bailey TD with just over three minutes remaining, but Miles ran down the clock for the win. Justin Hardy led Miles with 109 yards and touchdown rushing while Li'Jon Cordier threw for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Taylor led Morehouse 225 yards and two TDs passing, but he was sacked three times.
MID-EASTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Howard 26, Bethune-Cookman 24 - Caylin Newton's 5-yard touchdown run with 39 seconds remaining capped a back and forth second half to lift Howard (2-2, 1-0) win over Bethune-Cookman (1-3, 0-1). Newton, who threw for 157 yards and rushed for 149 yards, led a 9-play, 45-yard drive to give Howard the win. Newton threw for a touchdown and rushed for two more. BCU was led by Larry Brihm Jr who threw for 185 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score. Michael Jones ran for 112 yards. Frank Brown caught seven passes for 84 yards and a touchdown.

Monmouth 30, Hampton 23 (OT) - Erik Zokouri's 25-yard touchdown run on their first play of overtime lifted Monmouth (3-1) to a 30-23 win over Hampton (2-2)
North Carolina A&T 49, Morgan State 17 - Marquell Cartwright rushed for 176 yards and a touchdown, including a 72-yarder less than a minute into the game to lead North Carolina A&T (4-0, 1-0) in a rout over Morgan State (0-4, 0-1). Franklin McCain picked off two interceptions Morgan State passes, taking them back for touchdowns, one for 100 yards and another for 78 yards. Lamar Raynard threw three TDs for the Aggies. Morgan State was led by Elijah Staley who threw for 303 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown.

CENTRAL INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Elizabeth City State 20, Johnson C. Smith 17 - Johnson C. Smith (0-4, 0-1) had their first lead of the season early in the third quarter, but it was short-lived. Daquan Neal threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Chase Bynum midway through the third-quarter, which proved to be the game-winner for Elizabeth City State (3-1, 1-0). Neal rushed for a touchdown to go with with TD pass as he threw for 211 yards. Terrance Ervin led JCSU with 171 yards and two touchdowns passing.
Virginia Union 47, Fayetteville State 40 - Chazton McKenzie's 16-yard TD reception from Darius Taylor with 32 seconds remaining gave Virginia Union (2-2, 1-0) the win over Fayetteville State (1-3, 0-1). FSU was down 23 at halftime, but got two long touchdown connections from Richard Latimer to Curtis Burstin in the third quarter and TD runs by Darnell Walker and Donshel Jetton in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 40-40. Taylor led VUU with 383 yards and five touchdowns passing, with receivers McGustavious Dames (seven receptions, 157 yards and 2 TDs) and McKenzie (8 catches, 129 yards, 2 TDs) having big days. FSU's Stevie Green (129 yards and a touchdown) and Jetton (117 yards and a TD) had big days on the ground while Latimer threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns. The two teams combined for 984 yards of offense.
Bowie State 76, Shaw 7 - Amir Hall continued his high-flying season, throwing four touchdown passes in the first quarter alone, as Bowie State (4-0, 1-0) completely dominated Shaw (1-3, 0-1). Hall, the CIAA's leader in passing yardage and touchdowns, threw for 420 yards and six touchdowns. He now has 17 touchdown pases already this season. He didnt have a rushing TD, but he has four of those this season too. Robert Chesson also had another big game, rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns as he leads the CIAA in rushing TDs. Maurice Williams also ran for 101 yards. Shaw was led by Vidal Woodruff and his 137 yards and one TD passing, though he threw three interceptions and was sacked six times. Michael Sherman rushed for 82 yards and Hakiem Swann had ten tackles.
St. Augustine's 81, Lincoln (Pa) 9 - This was ugly. In a game where St. Augustine's (1-3, 1-0) scored the second-points than any team has in Division II this season, it could have been much worse. SAU scored only seven points in the fourth quarter. Darryl Johnson threw six touchdown passes and Jeremiah Miller rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns for SAU. Charles Edmond hauled in two of those TD passes. SAU set a number of school records, including most points in a game and most points in a half. Lincoln (Pa) (0-4, 0-1) was led by Vincent Espinoza's 132 yards passing while Trey McCullom's 84-yard TD run was their only touchdown on the day.
Virginia State 33, Winston-Salem State 27 (OT) - Thomas Koufie's 17-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted Virginia State (3-0, 1-0) to an overtime win over Winston-Salem State (2-2, 0-1). The game ended for Winston-Salem State when Kerrion Moore fumbled on their first OT play after the touchdown. Trenton Cannon's 3-yard TD run, and Cordieral Cook's 2-point conversion run, with 40 seconds remaining had put the game into overtime. Cannon rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns while Cook had 115 yards and a TD rushing and 131 yards and a TD passing. WSSU was led by Tinsley's 183 yards and two touchdowns passing, along with one TD rushing, and Farrell Murchison's 83 yards rushing.

SOUTHWESTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Alcorn State 48, Southern 31 - De'Lance Turner had a huge day, rushing for 272 yards and two touchdowns and also catching a TD pass in leading Alcorn State (2-2, 1-0) to the win over Southern (1-3, 0-1). The Braves ground game accounted for 402 of their 458 yards of offense. Southern was led by Devon Benn, who had a big ground day of his own as he ran for 134 yards and a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass. Austin Howard threw for 272 yards and two touchdowns. Turner's rushing total was the second-most in Alcorn State history.
Prairie View A&M 34, Alabama State 0 - Sta'Fon McCray ran for 104 yards and two touchdowns and the Prairie View A&M (1-2, 1-0) defense held Alabama State (0-4, 0-1) to just 127 yards of offense to get the win. Lavell McCullers threw for 173 yards and a touchdown, even though he was sacked four times. ASU's Kobie Jones had 38 yards passing and 30 yards rushing to lead the Hornets in both categories.
Alabama A&M 30, Texas Southern 13 - Jordan Bentley had two touchdowns during a 20-point second quarter as Alabama A&M (1-3, 1-0) defeated Texas Southern (0-3, 0-1). Quarterback Aqueel Glass had a big day for AAMU, throwing for 337 yards and two touchdowns. Dominic DeLira led with Texas Southern with 117 yards passing, while also rushing for a touchdown. Jay Christophe rushed for their other touchdown. Alabama A&M had 505 yards of total offense on the day.
Grambling 38, Mississippi Valley State 6 - On a day when the Grambling (3-1, 1-0) offense wasn't at their best, their defense picked them up as De'Aumante Johnson had three first-half interceptions as the Tigers defeated Mississippi Valley State (0-3, 0-1).

Cumberlands (Ky) 51, Edward Waters 7 - Josiah Robins threw two touchdown passes and the Cumberlands (Ky) (3-1) rushing game had 203 yards on the ground as they routed Edward Waters (0-4). The Cumberlands defense only allowed Edward Waters 92 yards of offense and nine first downs all day. EWC's Christian Hayes threw four interceptions, two of them returned for touchdowns. Gavin Anderson had 15 tackles for Edward Waters, while Joey Williams added 14 stops, forced two fumbles and had an interception.
