MVSU didnt help themselves late with drives that ended in a fumble, an interception and two missed field goals. Austin Bray threw for 223 yards and a touchdown, but the Delta Devils offense only had just 16 yards rushing.

Alcorn State 21, Alabama State 18 - Alcorn State (1-0, 1-0 SWAC) finally got their season started after last week's cancellation with a tough win over Alabama State (0-2, 0-1 SWAC).
