Delmon Williams Throws Three TDs to Lead Hampton Over Delaware State

Delmon Williams had a huge night, throwing for 305 yards and three touchdowns to lead Hampton to a 28-15 win over Delaware State Friday night.

Delaware State (0-2, 0-1 MEAC) actually led 12-7 midway through the second quarter after picking up a safety, field goal and then a 1-yard TD run by Jack McDaniels.  But Hampton (1-1, 1-0) came alive, outscoring DSU 21-3 over the rest of the game to get the win.

Williams threw a 48-yard touchdown pass to Aulden Knight to give Hampton a lead 15-14 and then a 79-yarder to Knight just before halftime to give them the lead for good.

Knight caught four passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns, while Ronald Bell hauled in six passes for 89 yards and a TD.  Yahkee Johnson rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown.

Delaware State, which has now lost 13 games in a row, was led by McDaniels' 156 yards passing and one TD rushing, while Mike Waters who rushed for 67 yards.
