Jordan's 150 Yards Rushing Day Earns Him MEAC Offensive Player of the Week; Other MEAC Honors Also Announced

Bethune-Cookman running back Anthony Jordan ran for 150 yards and a touchdown in the Wildcats big win over FBS opponent FIU and was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Week.

Jordan helped lead the Wildcats to their 34-13 win over Florida International, giving Bethune-Cookman the program's first win over an FBS school. 

South Carolina State's Joe Thomas and Savannah State's John Wilson were named Co-Defensive Players of the Week.

Thomas, a senior linebacker, was all over the field in the Bulldogs' win over Alabama A&M.  He had 12 tackles (11 solo), three sacks and a pass breakup.  Wilson, a senior defensive back, had three interceptions in the Tigers' win over Fort Valley State.  His three picks set an FCS record for most interceptions in a single game. He also had five tackles and broke up a pass.

North Carolina Central freshman cornerback Michael Jones was named Rookie of the Week after he picked off two passes in the Eagles 40-18 win over Charlotte. He also had four tackles, three of them solo.

His teammate Adrian Wilkins was named Special Teams Player of the Week after he opened the second half with a 100-yard touchdown return, the second-longest in North Carolina Central history.

North Carolina A&T offensive tackle Will Ray Robinson was named Offensive Lineman of the Week after recording five pancake blocks and giving up no sacks in the Aggies' 23-10 win over Elon.
