Johnathan McCrary's Late 48-Yard TD Pass Lifts Clark Atlanta Over Shorter 27-23

Johnathan McCrary's 48-yard touchdown to Johnathan Sanders with 1:13 left in the game as Clark Atlanta erased a 16-point, second half deficit for a come-from behind 27-23 win over winless Shorter College Thursday.

McCrary's touchdown pass was his second in a second half where Clark Atlanta (4-2) scored 20-unanswered points to get the win over Shorter (0-6).

Shorter's Tyler Pullum threw for a touchdown and rushed for another to help Shorter get out to a 23-7 lead early in the third quarter.

McCrary, a Vanderbilt transfer, led CAU with 269 yards and two TDs and also rushed for 45 yards. Jacob Michael had ten tackles to lead the CAU defense. Pullum led Shorter with 249 yards passing and also ran for 46 yards. Jevarius Jones had a big day for the Shorter defense with 12 tackles, ten of them solo, 1.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for losses.
